"Enjoy Couple" Son Minsu shared an update as his wife Im Lara recovers in the intensive care unit.
On the 29th Son Minsu shared a photo of a bassinet car seat saying, "Taking the twins outside tomorrow. Half excited, half nervous, half trembling."
Son Minsu and Im Lara married in 2023 after 10 years of dating, and after extensive in vitro fertilization treatment they welcomed twin siblings on the 14th. But nine days after the birth she was hospitalized in the intensive care unit after being transported to the emergency room for postpartum hemorrhage.
On the 26th Son Minsu said, "You must have been very startled to see Lara taken to the emergency room a few days ago, but she is recovering now," sharing the latest update.
Im Lara recalled, "I had postpartum hemorrhage. Fortunately I received a blood transfusion and am recovering, but it was so frightening at the time," and said, "We rode in an ambulance and went to nearby large hospitals but none would accept her. We ultimately returned to the hospital where I gave birth. I think I fainted about 10 times on the way. I thought, 'I might die like this,'" recalling the urgent moments.
Son Minsu, who stayed by her side, also expressed frustration, "It was a 30- to 40-minute distance from Gangnam to the delivery hospital, but every nearby emergency room refused. We said, 'The bleeding is severe, we must go quickly,' but in the end only the hospital where she gave birth accepted her."
