The group ZEROBASEONE is coloring the Japanese archipelago with iconic charm.
ZEROBASEONE (Sung Hanbin, Kim Jiwoong, Jang Hao, Seok Matthew, Kim Taerae, Riki, Kim Gyubin, Park Geonwook, Han Yujin) released the Japanese special EP "ICONIK" on the 29th, and the title track "ICONIK (Japanese ver.)" immediately after release went straight to No. 2 on the Oricon daily album ranking (Oct. 28), once again making clear the high level of local interest in ZEROBASEONE.
In addition, "ICONIK (Japanese ver.)" not only reached No. 1 on Japan iTunes K-pop top songs chart but also secured positions such as No. 10 on Line Music real-time song top 100, putting it on a full-fledged hit trajectory.
To commemorate the special EP release, ZEROBASEONE recently appeared on major local music programs such as TV Asahi's "Music Station" and TBS's "CDTV Live! Live!" and, along with a special collaboration with Central Japan Railway Company (JR Tokai) and a world tour, has been carrying out comprehensive promotions that are sweeping the archipelago.
ZEROBASEONE's popularity in Japan was already predicted. In March last year, ZEROBASEONE made their local debut with their first Japanese single "Yurayura -Unmei no Hana- (ゆらゆら -運命の花-)" and became a half-million seller within a week of debut, setting the highest sales figure among debut albums by overseas artists. ZEROBASEONE then took No. 1 on both the Oricon weekly album ranking and the weekly combined album ranking with their first EP "Prezent (PREZENT)," and ranked No. 4 in Billboard Japan's 2025 first-half "Top Album Sales" settlement of account. Riding a craze-level popularity, ZEROBASEONE also won the Asia category "Best New Artist" at the 39th Japan Gold Disc Awards.
Having reaffirmed their presence as a "global top tier" with "ICONIK," ZEROBASEONE holds world tour shows at Saitama Super Arena in Japan for two days, yesterday (29) and today (30). Amid strong fan support, this Japan concert even opened additional restricted-view seats, proving ZEROBASEONE's tremendous ticket power.
