"I'm SOLO" season 28 turned into a battlefield of love.
On the 29th, the SBS Plus and ENA real dating show I'm SOLO aired an episode in which divorced-special contestants Jeong-sook and Hyeon-sook competed over Yeong-su, turning Solo Nation 28 into chaos.
On the evening of day four, Sang-cheol began a 2-to-1 date with Jeong-sook and Sun-ja. Playful Sun-ja shoved a cheongyang pepper into Sang-cheol's mouth at the start of the date, and she burst out laughing as Sang-cheol reacted to the spice. Jeong-sook, who had done a u-turn from Yeong-su to Sang-cheol, complained, "I was really stressed while doing a 3-to-1 date with Yeong-su," then quietly paid for the meal, saying she had no intention of interfering with the other two. Later, during a 1-to-1 date, Jeong-sook complained, "I just want a normal life," then encouraged Sang-cheol, saying, "I hope things go well with Sun-ja." Afterwards, Sang-cheol, who had a 1-to-1 date with Sun-ja, asked, "If I go all in on you, would you accept me?" Sun-ja, pleased, said, "You're totally into me~."
Yeong-cheol, who has a romance with the piano, had an exciting 1-to-1 date with Yeong-ja, a piano major. He appealed, "I really wanted to talk about this (music) with Yeong-ja." After the dates, the solo women rode together in one car and moved to the lodging. At that time, Yeong-suk expressed disappointment, saying, "My feelings for Yeong-su have become zero," and Hyeon-suk loudly declared, "Fine. Yeong-su is mine." Hyeon-suk then boasted, "I was holding hands with Yeong-su earlier." Hearing this, Jeong-sook suddenly grew cold, and when Yeong-suk continued to diss Yeong-su, Hyeon-suk openly sided with Yeong-su, asking, "Why are you badmouthing someone I like?" After the date, the 28 contestants gathered in the common living room for a late-night snack. During that time, a sudden power outage plunged the entire lodging into darkness. Taking advantage of the moment, Jeong-hee grabbed Gwang-su's hand. Gwang-su, whose hand was held, said he felt a tingle and was thrilled. A little later, Jeong-sook naturally started talking to Yeong-su at the dinner table. But Hyeon-suk, who had taken the seat next to Yeong-su, blocked their conversation by saying, "What should I eat? Master~." Jeong-sook tried to speak to Yeong-su again, but Hyeon-suk provoked her, saying, "Jeong-sook, take it easy. You cursed a lot earlier." Jeong-sook snapped back, "I didn't curse about Yeong-su," and Hyeon-suk retorted, "Didn't you? You mentioned it earlier."
In the tense atmosphere, when Yeong-su briefly left his seat, Hyeon-suk swapped places with him to separate Jeong-sook and Yeong-su. Hyeon-suk even guided Jeong-sook's seat to the far end of the table, but Jeong-sook warned, "I wish you wouldn't boss me around." Hyeon-suk laughed, saying, "I thought I was being considerate," but in front of the production crew she snapped, "If someone went somewhere else, they went somewhere else—why keep meddling?" After that, Jeong-sook told Yeong-su in front of everyone, "Talking with Jeong-sook really annoys me, but I'll endure it," in a chilling manner. Speechless, Jeong-sook shortly afterward told Yeong-su, "Take care of yourself from now on," effectively declaring a breakup. Flustered, Yeong-su suggested, "Let's talk later," and went for a nighttime walk with Hyeon-suk. He later promised Hyeon-suk, "It's so hard to decide whom to go straight for. I'll decide and let you know by 6 p.m. tomorrow."
On the morning of day five, Yeong-suk called out Yeong-su, whom she had argued with the previous day, and apologized. She then called out Kyung-su and expressed her liking for him. Kyung-su confessed to her, "Honestly, when choosing the second-priority date, my first priority was you, Yeong-suk." Moved, Yeong-suk cried. Meanwhile, Jeong-sook, who had been holed up in her room, went to the communal kitchen. Hyeon-suk appeared, and Jeong-sook gave up her seat and did the dishes. Hyeon-suk immediately asked everyone, seemingly loud enough for Jeong-sook to hear, "Yesterday Yeong-su asked me, 'If a man and woman are alone, isn't it possible to hold hands or even kiss?' Did I misunderstand this? I felt so certain." Upset, Jeong-sook went into her room, turned off the light and lay down. Unaware of this, Yeong-su tried to call Jeong-sook out to talk, but she coldly refused. Some time later, Hyeon-suk pressured Yeong-su, asking, "Will you give me an answer by 6 p.m. tonight?" Yeong-su again took an ambiguous stance, saying, "I can talk with Jeong-sook tomorrow. I don't want to be bound by time."
In the following preview, alongside a battle for the super date ticket, Hyeon-suk scolds Yeong-su, "Are you the only one who doesn't know why people avoid and run away from you?!" while Yeong-suk-sparked scenes show Yeong-suk calling out Jeong-sook desperately and searching for her, hinting at an unfinished romance war sparked by Yeong-su. Furthermore, a hint was revealed that during the airing of season 28, the mother-to-be nicknamed Nasol-i received first-impression selection with two gold rings; the solo women who received the two gold rings at that time were Jeong-sook and Ok-sun. Intense interest is focused on which of them might be Nasol-i's mother.
