Former baseball player Choo Shin-soo's wife, Ha Won-mi, revealed a mansion in Texas, United States.
On the 29th, Ha Won-mi's YouTube channel posted a video titled "[U.S. episode] Starting the secret U.S. series without Choo Shin-soo."
When the production team visited the house, they exclaimed, "It looks like a palace," and Ha Won-mi said, "Unlike last time when I only showed the pretty side, this time I'll show the reality as it is, without cleaning."
The revealed garage was tightly packed with several foreign cars, golf carts and electric wheels. Ha Won-mi laughed and said, "My husband cleans the garage. He tidies it up so neatly you could lie down and sleep."
But despite the flashy exterior, there were considerable hardships in managing the mansion. The Wi-Fi did not work well in every room, so even with multiple range extenders, they eventually broke, and some pool tiles were cracked here and there, prompting her to complain, "When you fix one, another breaks and it feels like I'm going crazy."
She also revealed why she does not use a robot vacuum. She explained, "The floor is made of such good material that I clean it myself for fear of scratches." She shared the bittersweet daily life of being unable to even fix lights on the high ceiling, saying, "I wait until my eyes feel blurry. Spending the money is just too painful," with a laugh.
Ha Won-mi said, "The house looks pretty and big, but living in it is different. I wanted to honestly convey the reality behind the visible glamour," and added, "It's more comfortable for me to move than to wait."
Meanwhile, Choo Shin-soo and Ha Won-mi married in 2004 and have two sons and a daughter. After playing in Major League Baseball, Choo joined the SSG Landers in 2021 and retired last year. His cumulative salary is reported to have reached 190 billion won.
