Actor Lee Ho-jung is continuing an unrelenting streak of work with As You Stood By.
Lee Ho-jung appears in the Netflix series As You Stood By, set to be released next month, meeting global viewers following Song of the Bandits.As You Stood By tells the story of two women who decide to kill in the face of a reality from which they cannot escape unless they die or kill, and who become embroiled in an unexpected incident.
In the drama Lee Ho-jung plays Noh Jin-young and is expected to deliver a fiery acting ensemble alongside Lee Yoo-mi and Jang Seung-jo. Details about the Noh Jin-young role he plays have not yet been revealed, raising curiosity, while the previously released main trailer offered an early look at Lee Ho-jung after her new transformation.
In the trailer Lee Ho-jung captured attention with just one scene. Noh Jin-young (played by Lee Ho-jung) greets Jo Hee-soo (played by Lee Yoo-mi) with "Have you been well, sister?", a casual check-in that seemed ordinary but suggested the tangled story between them. Especially his somewhat lukewarm gaze and subtly strange voice and breathing were enough to heighten viewers' curiosity.
Attention has also focused on a different side of Lee Ho-jung. He briefly set aside the intensity he radiated in his previous work Good Boy and donned a restrained charisma and a mysterious aura from visuals to presence. This made viewers feel the broader and deeper range of Lee Ho-jung's acting.
