Group i-dle (아이들) member Miyeon (MIYEON) is drawing a steep upward curve on music charts.
Miyeon released the pre-release track "Reno (Feat. Colde)" from her second mini album 'MY, Lover' at 6 p.m. on the 28th and is achieving remarkable results on domestic and international song and music video charts.
"Reno (Feat. Colde)" was a pre-release track but immediately after release rose to No. 2 on Bugs' real-time chart and entered high on Melon HOT 100, marking a strong debut. On global charts it placed on the iTunes top songs charts in five countries, and it ranked high on China's TME (Tencent Music Entertainment) Korean chart, showing broad popularity.
Not only the song but the music video also drew attention. The music video ranked 13th on YouTube's "most viewed music videos in 24 hours" immediately after release and charted in 10 countries including Russia, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Taiwan, Australia, Hong Kong and Canada, including Korea, once again proving Miyeon's global influence.
The first track unveiled from mini album 2 "MY, Lover," "Reno (Feat. Colde)," depicts the moment when love turns into obsession and ultimately rushes toward catastrophe. Colde, with a distinctive tone, participated as a featured artist, harmonizing with Miyeon's sensuous vocals to complete an intense emotional line. Actor Cha Woo-min appears as a lover in the music video, partnering with Miyeon to present a dramatic narrative like a noir film.
Having shown a new side as a solo artist with the pre-release track "Reno (Feat. Colde)," Miyeon will release mini album 2 "MY, Lover" on Nov. 3. The album is expected to convey a more mature sensibility with songs that explore the theme of "love" from various perspectives and temperatures.
