'The Return of SUPERMAN' Sim Hyung-tak and Jang Dong-min each spent happy times with their children.
On the 29th, KBS2TV entertainment show 'The Return of SUPERMAN' (hereinafter 'The Return of SUPERMAN') aired an episode that showed Jang Dong-min and the Ji-woo siblings beginning marathon practice for the show's 12th anniversary, and Sim Hyung-tak unable to hide his surprise at the growth of his son Haroo.
'The Return of SUPERMAN' was approaching its 12th anniversary. The show, which began with the charm and unpredictability of mixed martial artist Choo Sung Hoon and his daughter Choo Sa-rang, has since produced many star families, including former national fencing athlete Kim Jun-ho and his sons Eun-woo and Jung-woo; Park Soo-hong and Kim Da-ye and their long-awaited daughter Joy; H.O.T.'s Moon Hee-joon and his daughter Jam Jam; and genius rapper Gary and his son Hao.
Accordingly, 'The Return of SUPERMAN,' which decided to hold a marathon, began practice in each household. Kim Jun-ho, a former national team member, boasted the stamina to climb the hill behind his house with his two sons, but the other dads were different. Sim Hyung-tak proudly showed Haroo in exercise clothes prepared by his wife Saya.
Jang Dong-min devoted himself to running practice with the Ji-woo siblings at his Wonju home. At one point, Jang Dong-min's mother held a sketchbook and cheered for her grandson and granddaughter. Ji-woo, exhausted and unsure what to do, heard Jang Dong-min say, "Ji-woo, there's a saying: if you can't avoid it, enjoy it." Ji-woo, who ranks in the top 1% for language ability, said, "If you can't avoid it, enjoy it! Dad, cheer up," showing both understanding of the phrase and filial support for Jang Dong-min.
After practicing hard, the Jang Dong-min family felt hungry. As autumn nights ripen, there are root crops that taste sweet. They were sweet potatoes. Jang Dong-min carefully roasted sweet potatoes, and against the backdrop of the Wonju night sky, he laughed as he enjoyed roasted sweet potatoes with Ji-woo.
Ji-woo brightly smiled and said, "Dad! Now it's autumn!"
Meanwhile, Sim Hyung-tak was moved by Haroo's growing appearance. Preparing cheese and bread for Haroo, Sim Hyung-tak was surprised to see Haroo sitting up by himself. Sim Hyung-tak said, "I thought he still couldn't sit, but he was sitting up straight. Isn't our child getting bigger? He looked gallant," expressing his overwhelming emotion.
Sim Hyung-tak prepared sensory play for Haroo. Very small puffed rice was good for developing fine motor skills. Haroo managed to pick one up and put it in his mouth. Sim Hyung-tak also shook toys over the sofa to make Haroo grab the sofa and pull himself up. Sim Hyung-tak said, "He wasn't being helped; he corrected his leg position by himself and stood up. I thought the eight months weren't in vain," and added, "I'm even more excited about Haroo's future," showing his emotion.
Sim Hyung-tak also successfully made Haroo's baby food while preparing pad thai and Japanese cold udon, and enjoyed a happy lunch with his son.
