LUCY draws another bold "line" in the music scene in the second half of 2025.
LUCY will release mini album No. 7 "Line" at 6 p.m. on the 30th through various music platforms and unfold a variety of emotions of love.
This album is a new release about six months after the mini 6th album "Wajangchang," released in April, and it explores various undefinable forms of love with LUCY's unique sensibility. Even the same line can take on different shapes depending on the consolidation method and the way it is tied, and love also carries multiple textures depending on the form of the relationship. In particular, member Jo Won-sang participated in lyric writing, composition and overall producing, further solidifying LUCY's musical color, and following the previous release, this album also shows strong confidence with a double title track.
The first title track "What about love" is a song that tells the story of people standing on the same line with different perspectives. Its soft band sound, lyrical harmonies and Choi Sang-yeop's refreshing timbre combine to highlight LUCY's distinctive sensibility. Acoustic guitar, strings and ambiance effects maximize immersion and overwhelming emotion, and delicately express the narrator's thrill of realizing love. The accompanying music video was directed by 815 VIDEO, which has collaborated with global K-pop artists including BLACKPINK and TWICE, and translates the lyrical band sound of "What about love" into delicate cinematography and tasteful storytelling.
The other title track "Becoming urgent (Feat. Wonstein)" paints the complex and subtle emotions of love over a urbane sound mixing jazz and R&B. Jazz piano, gypsy violin, rhythmic instrumental arrangements and rich strings combine to fully elevate the charm of the jazz-rock LUCY newly attempts. In addition, four songs in total are included, from the clumsy love message to close ones such as family, friends and colleagues, "EIO," to Shin Ye-chan's self-composed song "Eternal I loved," completing LUCY's warm musical world.
Meanwhile, ahead of the album release, LUCY will hold a listening session today (the 30th) at 4 p.m. to introduce the new album "Line" directly to fans. Then, from Nov. 7 to 9, the eighth solo concert "2025 LUCY 8TH CONCERT
