Amid growing interest that former lovers Ryu Jun-yeol and Hyeri might reunite through Reply 1988's 10th anniversary content, it has been confirmed that this is not true.
Earlier, EggsIsComing said that to mark the 10th anniversary of tvN's hit Reply 1988, they recently went on an MT with the main cast members and plan to film it for a special variety program. At that time, the Reply 1988 team left for an MT at a location in Gangwon Province, and a large short-term MT was held with 15 participants, including director Shin Won-ho and the main cast of the work. The female lead Hyeri attended this gathering, but Ryu Jun-yeol did not attend due to his Netflix new work Dleujwi schedule.
That day, one media outlet reported that Ryu Jun-yeol did not attend the MT but participated in recording for the show's 10th anniversary special program, saying he adjusted his schedule and joined some of the filming.
Afterward, curiosity grew over whether Hyeri and Ryu Jun-yeol, who were once in a romantic relationship, might meet again through this broadcast two years after their breakup. However, Ryu Jun-yeol is known to have filmed only a separate individual opening.
