Radio Star's Park So-hyun conveyed the deep feelings she felt when the program ended and the moving farewell moment with her long-time partner Lim Sung-hoon.
On the afternoon of the 29th, MBC's Radio Star aired a special titled "Let the four of you host a debate," featuring Jeong Kwan-yong, Park So-hyun, Lee Jae-yul and Tsuki.
Park So-hyun said she heard the news of the end of the program Se-sang-e Ireon Ireumi "four months ago," noting, "At first it didn't sink in." But Park So-hyun confessed, "I lay in bed at night thinking of my final remarks and tears kept streaming down," revealing her deep attachment to the program. Se-sang-e Ireon Ireumi began in 1998 and ran for 26 years, accompanying nearly half of Park So-hyun's life.
The final recording scene was made more moving by an event filled with the production team's sincerity. Park So-hyun said, "All the producers who had ever worked on it attended holding flowers," and added, "It felt like a scene from a movie," conveying how overwhelmed she was at the time. Overcome with emotion, Park So-hyun added, "I couldn't deliver my remarks," expressing regret at ending 26 years.
Park So-hyun revealed that during the recording she saw "Lim Sung-hoon teacher shedding tears" and said, "I thought I shouldn't cry here too. I don't know what state of mind I was in, but I think I finished it," implying she tried to keep her composure even in a confusing moment.
But what moved Park So-hyun the most to tears was Lim Sung-hoon's farewell. When Lim Sung-hoon said on the final broadcast, "So-hyun, you worked hard. Thank you," Park So-hyun was ultimately overcome with emotion. Park So-hyun recalled the deep affection and friendship the two had built over 26 years, saying, "He had always called me 'So-hyun ssi,' so I was touched that he called me 'So-hyun.'"
