Netflix series "As You Stood By" released 14 publicity stills.
The Netflix series "As You Stood By," which depicts the story of two women who decide to commit murder in the face of a reality they cannot escape unless they die or kill and who become embroiled in an unexpected incident, unveiled 14 publicity stills.
The released publicity stills draw attention by capturing the characters' emotions that change starkly from scene to scene. First, "Jo Eun-su" (Jeon So-ni) shows a multi-layered appearance, ranging from her competent assistant manager persona in the department store luxury goods VIP dedicated team to a worried gaze toward her friend "Jo Hee-su" (Lee Yu-mi), who looks precarious, traversing emotions at opposite extremes.
The still of "Hee-su," whose face is injured and who is engulfed in fear, hints that she is placed in a tragic situation and evokes a chilling tension. As curiosity is piqued over which direction the two people's decisions to escape the nightmare-like reality and the situations they unexpectedly face because of that will take, the suspense that surges within the solidarity of the once-close friends is expected to draw viewers in.
Meanwhile, the still of "No Jin-pyo" (Jang Seung-jo), who wears a sharp expression in a hair-trigger moment, captures his threatening tendency and puts viewers on edge. In addition, there is "Jang Gang" (Jang Seung-jo), who has a face identical to "No Jin-pyo" but gives off a somewhat different atmosphere. His inscrutable expression raises questions about Jang Gang's identity and role, deepening the drama's mystery. Also, the still of "Jin So-baek" (Lee Moo-saeng) features a meaningful expression that stimulates curiosity about his veiled inner self and draws attention to what actions he will take around Eun-su and Hee-su and what ripple effects he will create.
Also, new looks of the characters around Eun-su and Hee-su catch the eye. Eun-su's mother, "Gye-sun" (Kim Mi-kyung), who wears an expressionless face even in front of a birthday cake; No Jin-pyo's stern-faced mother, "Jeong-suk" (Kim Mi-sook); and No Jin-pyo's sibling, "No Jin-young" (Lee Ho-jung). As family members of key characters, how they influence one another and how they become involved in Eun-su and Hee-su's most desperate conspiracy adds to the intrigue.
Told the story of two women who break the cycle themselves to escape recurring hell, stand in solidarity, and make the most desperate choice for ordinary daily life, "As You Stood By" will be released on Netflix on Nov. 7 (Fri). <
