Kai of 'Jeon-gwaja: The man who transfers every day (hereafter "Jeon-gwaja")' teams up for a joint transfer with fellow EXO member Doh Kyung Soo, showcasing an all-time high of playful bickering chemistry.
In the Jeon-gwaja season 7 episode released on the 30th (today) by OOTV (CEO Lee Hyun-sook), EXO member and actor Doh Kyung Soo appears as a guest and, together with Kai, becomes a one-day student in the sculpture department at University of Seoul. Seeing Doh Kyung Soo appear without prior notice that day, Kai expressed his delight by immediately hugging Doh Kyung Soo and saying, "Great, my heart is so at ease!" upon hearing they would attend the lecture together.
Kai and Doh Kyung Soo are expected to roam the school together and deliver abundant laughter with their exceptional variety chemistry. When Kai asked, "If you ranked the EXO members for 'sculpture handsome,' who would you pick?" Doh Kyung Soo immediately replied, "Number one is me," then added the generous remark, "I'll make you number two," which drew laughter.
Kai and Doh Kyung Soo together mention with one voice that "EXO has a sculpture-handsome claimant," naming a specific member and sparking curiosity about who that member might be. Later, Kai mercilessly teases Doh Kyung Soo, who is about to take a college lecture for the first time in his life, saying, "You didn't bring your indoor shoe bag? You have to take your shoes off when you enter the lecture hall," initiating rookie teasing. Throughout that day, Doh Kyung Soo, subjected to Kai's tailor-made rookie pranks, referenced a variety show he previously appeared on by saying, "Come farm with me later," stoking his intent for revenge and continuously provoking laughs with their nonstop back-and-forth.
The lecture the two attended that day was sculpture theory and metal sculpture practice. Inspired by the Disney+ original series The Manipulated, in which Doh Kyung Soo appears, Kai and Doh Kyung Soo set out to create a building sculpture engraved with the face of 'Yohan,' the character Doh Kyung Soo plays in the drama. Attempting metal sculpting for the first time in their lives, the two showed off a rough charm, saying, "Coming to the workshop makes us feel manly," and immersed themselves in the creation, repeatedly exclaiming, "This is so fun!" Immediately after putting on welding masks, they joked that they looked like stage costumes and spontaneously performed the "Love Shot" choreography, transforming perfectly into "2030s future idols" and provoking laughter.
Having poured their souls into making the metal sculpture, Kai and Doh Kyung Soo presented the finished work in front of the students and received evaluation from the supervising professor. Doh Kyung Soo described the work as representing "the tears and hard emotions of modern people," switching into a perfect docent mode, raising curiosity about what the masterpiece they created together would look like and what assessment the supervising professor would give. Kai also carefully observed another student's work and attributed a new meaning the original author might not have considered, earning high praise from the supervising professor, who reportedly said, "That was a very high-level comment. You could seriously consider transferring."
Meanwhile, Jeon-gwaja is OOTV's franchise variety show in which EXO's Kai visits and reviews every department around the world, gaining explosive popularity among Millennials and Gen Z and subscribers called "Snacki." The sculpture department one-day experience, where Kai and Doh Kyung Soo's perfect rapport shone, can be seen on the OOTV Studio (ootb STUDIO) YouTube channel at 6 p.m. on the 30th (today).
