'The Return of SUPERMAN' actor Shim Hyung-tak was moved by the growth of his son Haru.
On the 29th broadcast of KBS2TV entertainment program 'The Return of SUPERMAN' (hereinafter 'The Return of SUPERMAN'), it showed Jang Dong-min and Ji-woo practicing for the show's 12th anniversary marathon and Shim Hyung-tak and Haru showing further growth.
To mark the show's 12th anniversary, Kim Jun-ho and his three-generation family, Jang Dong-min's family and Shim Hyung-tak prepared for the Mapo Bridge marathon. Jang Dong-min took Ji-woo and focused on marathon practice while enjoying the scenery of Wonju.
Ji-woo quickly showed signs of tiring at a young age. He repeated that it was hard several times. Jang Dong-min said, "Ji-woo, there's a saying: if you can't avoid it, enjoy it." In response, Ji-woo said, "If you can't avoid it, enjoy it! Dad, cheer up," showing he understood Jang Dong-min's words and at the same time cheering his father, which moved viewers.
Ji-woo joyfully exclaimed, "Dad! It's autumn now!" After marathon practice, the family enjoyed a fall night eating roasted sweet potatoes and felt happy. Also, Jang Dong-min's mother wrote supporting messages on a sketchbook to cheer on her son and grandsons.
Shim Hyung-tak made snacks for his son Haru. Earlier that day, Haru cutely pulled off an adorable outfit. Shim Hyung-tak proudly said, "All the styling is done by my wife Saya." Haru pulled off everything from SONOKONG, athletic wear, Mon*chi doll, Vegeta character, watermelon, Doraemon, to Toy Story's Woody. His porcelain-soft, plump face showed a mix of Saya's loveliness and Shim Hyung-tak's handsomeness, and the baby's characteristic cute smile matched all the characters.
While Shim Hyung-tak went straight to the island and kneaded the dough, Haru toddled around. Now that his belly-crawling sped up to be similar to crawling, Haru began happily roaming around while his father Shim Hyung-tak prepared his snack. While making snacks like cheese balls and bread, Shim Hyung-tak muttered, "Haru, remember all this later," and what widened his eyes was Haru. Haru himself put his feet on the ground, lifted his hips, and then sat down.
Shim Hyung-tak said, "I thought he still couldn't sit, but he sat up straight. Isn't our child growing again. He looked noble," as he became overwhelmed.
Haru happily ate the snacks Shim Hyung-tak made. Seeing this, Shim Hyung-tak said, "Haru was able to fold his fingers. So I prepared sensory play to develop that sense," and added, "The first tactile play is popped rice play." Haru quickly handled this play, which is also good for developing fine motor skills. He wriggled his small fingers and grasped the popped rice.
The second tactile play was tofu. The soft, tender texture had already been showcased by Kim Jun-ho, Eun-woo and Jung-woo's three-generation family. As expected, Haru enjoyed this play. Also, Shim Hyung-tak shook a toy above the sofa to make Haru stand. Shim Hyung-tak said, "He didn't need someone to help; he corrected his leg position by himself and stood up. I thought those eight months were not in vain," and added, "Haru's future looks even more promising."
He again recalled, "I thought Haru was growing little by little. The popped rice is really small, but he picked it up with his hand and ate it."
