Meanwhile, the Seoul Central District Court Civil Division 41 (Chief Judge Jeong Hae-il) ruled in favor of the plaintiff in a lawsuit filed by ADOR seeking confirmation of the validity of exclusive contracts against the five members of NewJeans.
The court said, "The dismissal of former CEO Min Hee-jin from ADOR did not create a management vacuum for NewJeans, and it is difficult to see that ADOR lacked plans or capability to carry out its duties," and judged that this could not be considered grounds for terminating the exclusive contracts.
