The global flagship K-pop awards show '2025 MAMA AWARDS (2025 MAMA Awards)' has unveiled its first host lineup to further raise the status of K-pop.
The hosts who will convey the message pursued by the '2025 MAMA AWARDS' have been revealed. CJ ENM said actor Park Bo-gum has been confirmed as the host for the first day of the '2025 MAMA AWARDS', to be held Nov. 28 (Fri) and Nov. 29 (Sat) at Hong Kong's Kai Tak Stadium.
Park Bo-gum, whose mere presence carries symbolism, will open this year's proceedings as the CHAPTER 1 host of the '2025 MAMA AWARDS.' Since first hosting the 'MAMA AWARDS' in 2017, he participated in 2018, 2019 and from 2022 through 2024, and will serve as host for a total of seven times including 2025. In particular, he has been part of the 'MAMA AWARDS''s historic moments, including the rebranding year and last year's first expansion into the United States. He is also a host who shared stages at Japan's three major domes, including Nagoya, Osaka and Tokyo Dome.
Returning to the Hong Kong stage as Mnet celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, Park Bo-gum is expected to leave another special mark with deeper charm and sincerity. Considered a global icon, he is expected to leave a strong impression on K-pop fans around the world with his warm communication and steady hosting skills. In addition to simple enjoyment, through the message of "UH-HEUNG," which contains a cry to accept oneself as they are and not be afraid to live authentically across diverse regions, races and cultures, he is expected to convey more deeply the values and vision that the 'MAMA AWARDS' aims to deliver.
Held at Hong Kong's new landmark, the ultra-large stadium, the '2025 MAMA AWARDS' will lead the year-end festival fans around the world have awaited through the sincere voices of its hosts. With Park Bo-gum unveiled as the host for Chapter 1, which will open the '2025 MAMA AWARDS,' attention is focused on who will take the stage as host for Chapter 2 on the second day.
Meanwhile, the '2025 MAMA AWARDS' will have global payment technology company Visa as its title sponsor. It will be held at Hong Kong's Kai Tak Stadium, which is drawing attention as an Asian mega event hub, on Nov. 28 and 29 local time, and will be broadcast live globally in real time through various digital platforms including Mnet Plus to join K-pop fans around the world.
