'Last Summer' Lee Jae-wook, Choi Sung-eun gave a romance chemistry score of 95.
On the afternoon of the 29th at The Saint in Guro-gu, Seoul, a production press conference was held for KBS 2TV's new Saturday-Sunday miniseries Last Summer (directed by Min Yeon-hong / written by Jeon Yu-ri / produced by Monster Union, Slingshot Studio). The event featured director Min Yeon-hong along with actors Lee Jae-wook, Choi Sung-eun, and Kim Gun-woo, who appeared to talk.
Last Summer is a remodeling romance drama in which a man and woman who have been friends since childhood confront the truth of their first love hidden in Pandora's box, and it will premiere on Nov. 1 at 9:20 p.m.
When asked that day to give the romance chemistry score he thought for himself, Choi Sung-eun opened by saying, "First of all, I think the chemistry was good."
Choi Sung-eun said, "Jae-wook has a lot of experience, but this is my first romance drama. This genre of acting is new to me, so I received a lot of help. So I had worries and concerns like, 'Am I doing well?'"
He continued, "I think I received help because I happened to work with the very charming actor Jae-wook. I think he is an actor who can bring out a lot of chemistry. I don't have a sense of what the ratings will be, but I hope many people watch it. My score is 100 points."
Following Choi Sung-eun's answer, Lee Jae-wook laughed and said, "Honestly, it wasn't 100 points for me." Lee Jae-wook said, "First of all, Seong-eun is much older than me and wants to learn and work together; she has more acting experience, and there were many beautiful and lovely moments on set," adding, "I would give 95 out of 100 points, and if there are 5 points missing because something was missed amid my own distraction, that's my fault."
As Park Cheol-gyu, the announcer listening, interpreted, "Giving 95 points seems to be because there is no 'blemish'," Lee Jae-wook laughed and said, "That's right. I'll have to use this somewhere," prompting laughter.
Meanwhile, KBS2's Last Summer will premiere on Nov. 1 at 9:20 p.m.
