Singer Song Ga-in's song "Gain-ieora" has been officially included in a middle school music textbook.
According to agency JIGISTAR on the 28th, Song Ga-in's signature song "Gain-ieora" has been officially included in the middle school textbook Music 2 (Pakyoungsa).
JIGISTAR said, "This is the first time the trot genre has been officially featured in a domestic music textbook," adding, "It is meaningful that Song Ga-in's signature song, by an artist who majored in gugak (pansori) and maintains the identity of traditional trot, has been included in the textbook."
On the "Gain-ieora" page of the textbook, it says, "Mark vibrato, grace notes, crescendo, and decrescendo on the score, and try singing and presenting by bringing out trot's sigimsae." Students will directly study the characteristics and vocal techniques of the trot genre and also practice them.
Song Ga-in won season 1 of TV CHOSUN "Miss Trot" in 2019 and is credited with ushering in today's boom in trot. When releasing her fourth full-length album "Gain;Dal" early this year, she said, "Traditional trot and pansori have many similarities," and added, "They are inseparable from me, and I will continue to hold on to traditional trot going forward."
