Actor Jeon Soo-kyung joins tvN's new Monday-Tuesday drama Nice to Not Meet You (directed by Kim Ga-ram, written by Jeong Yeo-rang, planned and produced by Studio Dragon, Studio N, Artist Company).
Nice to Not Meet You is a drama about a war of insults, fact bombardment and shattering prejudices between a national actor who has lost their original spirit and an entertainment reporter obsessed with achieving justice. Previously, actors Lee Jung-jae, Lim Ji-yeon, Kim Ji-hoon and Seo Ji-hye confirmed their appearances, creating great buzz even before the broadcast.
Jeon Soo-kyung plays Oh Mi-ran, a veteran actress who is the mother of Lee Jae-hyung (played by Kim Ji-hoon), president of the sports newspaper Sports Eunseong, and a chaebol family's madam who remains actively involved. Oh Mi-ran debuted on screen in a maid bit part, then entered as the second wife of a chaebol husband, turning her life around. Even after marriage she continued acting and expanded her standing riding the halo of being a "real chaebol madam." Despite the splendor, she is a warm and realistic mother especially to her son Jae-hyung. Jeon Soo-kyung is expected to elicit viewers' empathy with performances that move between elegance and human warmth.
Jeon Soo-kyung, who has continuously expanded her acting spectrum across drama, film and musical stages, has won public affection by showing new charms in each work. Recently she continued diverse and intense character transformations from a powerless school principal in the film The Last Assignment to a tough mother and a cutting madam in the dramas When the Stars Gossip and My Merry Marriage.
Meanwhile, Nice to Not Meet You will premiere on Nov. 3 at 8:50 p.m.
