Some lyrics from Winner's Kang Seung-yoon's second solo full album [PAGE 2] were revealed for the first time, raising expectations among music fans.
YG Entertainment posted the 'KANG SEUNG YOON 2nd FULL ALBUM [PAGE 2] LYRICS POSTER' on its official SNS on the 28th. The image, which contains hints to every track including the title song 'ME (美)', offers an early glimpse of the record's narrative and mood.
A paper airplane cutting across a blue sky and arrows indicating direction are striking. The unstructured arrangement and the layout that looks like unfolded origami bring the lyrics to life, symbolically revealing Kang Seung-yoon's music world that freely crosses boundaries.
The lyrics contain Kang Seung-yoon's characteristic sincere sensibility. Starting with the title track 'ME (美)', notable for the evocative phrase "美 and shake that beauty", the lyrics unfold everyday subjects with a lyrical perspective, such as "Did the first snow I missed last winter land on my eye?" ('Beoseonbal'), "When you sigh, I'll hold an umbrella and come pick you up" ('I'll come to pick you up (Feat. Eun Ji-won)'), and "a solist who remains alone and cries lonely without a stage and audience" ('HOMELESS'), which stimulate curiosity.
Earlier, YG hinted that "each track is an independent narrative like a volume of short stories," and with a series of emotional teaser content released, listeners' attention is focused on the new stories singer-songwriter Kang Seung-yoon will present through this album.
Meanwhile, Kang Seung-yoon, who participated in writing and composing all tracks, will release his second solo full album [PAGE 2] at 6 p.m. on Nov. 3. The album contains 13 tracks in total, including the title song 'ME (美)' as well as 'Beoseonbal', 'Sarangnori (Feat. Seulgi)', 'SEVEN DAYS', 'Separation Anxiety', 'I'll come to pick you up (Feat. Eun Ji-won)', 'It might be the last', 'CUT', 'HOMELESS', 'Far Away', 'Even if it's a lie (Feat. Ho-ryun)', 'Meddling', and 'Sky Roof'.
