A woman in her 30s who threatened actress Han Ji-min has been brought to trial.
On the 29th, according to legal sources, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office Criminal Division 5 (Director General Kim Ji-young) on the 20th indicted a woman in her 30s, identified as A, without detention on charges of threats and insult.
A is accused of posting 19 messages between September and October last year on her social media account that insulted and threatened Han Ji-min, such as "I will sabotage the movie Han Ji-min appears in" and "shut up." In addition, it was reported that she even tagged Han Ji-min and the actress's acquaintances in the posts she wrote.
Earlier, Han Ji-min's agency BH Entertainment filed a complaint with the police against A in November last year. The agency said it "confirmed circumstances in which malicious defamation and personal attacks against actress Han Ji-min continued and indiscriminate false information was spread, hired a law firm, and then submitted a complaint to the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul," and said, "Acts that damage the honor of our agency's actors and insult personalities are clear criminal acts, and there will be no settlements or leniency."
Meanwhile, news of A's transfer to the prosecution was reported in March this year. It is known that A committed these crimes after reports of a romantic relationship between Han Ji-min and Jannabi band member Choi Jung-hoon were published in August last year.
Han Ji-min and Choi Jung-hoon developed from a good relationship that began after meeting on KBS2 The Seasons - Choi Jung-hoon Night Park into a romantic relationship. Their dating rumors surfaced in August last year, and after acknowledging the relationship in an official statement, they have continued a public relationship to this day.
Meanwhile, A's first trial date has not yet been set.<
