The group Ahop (AHOF) sharply raised expectations for their new release with a surprising dark visual.
Ahop (AHOF·Steven, Seo Jeong-woo, Cha Ung-gi, Jang Shuai-bo, Park Han, J.L., Park Joo-won, Zeon, Daisuke) on the 29th at 12 a.m. released the final concept photo for their second mini album "The Passage" on their official SNS channels.
This concept photo emphasizes AHOF's transformation into a darker mood. AHOF expresses moments of facing inner anxiety and instability and other hardships against dystopian styling and the calm lakeside background.
First, in the unit photos the members stare at the camera with expressionless faces. Seo Jeong-woo, Cha Ung-gi, Park Joo-won, and Daisuke complete a deep mood through outfits using black and khaki. Overall cool tones add a tranquil yet peculiar tension.
Steven, Jang Shuai-bo, Park Han, and J.L. show an impressive raw charm under red lighting. In particular, the cinematic direction that seems to blur the focus instantly draws attention. This vividly portrays the members' pain encountered between boyhood and adulthood and heightens viewers' immersion.
In the individual concept photos, AHOF's wavering 모습 amid various conflicts can be examined more closely. The members sit or stand in front of the lakeside and look straight ahead. Cold gazes, restrained expressions and static movements make the atmosphere even darker.
With this, all four versions of photos that reveal the concept of "The Passage" have been unveiled. AHOF vividly portrayed a range from a free and pure boy to a youth experiencing inner growing pains in a space reminiscent of the fairy tale "Pinocchio".
The second mini album "The Passage" tells the story of AHOF growing from boys into adults. Like Pinocchio who becomes human by facing various temptations and conflicts, the members will present a "rough youth" narrative of clashing and wavering on the boundary between boy and man and becoming stronger.
Meanwhile, AHOF will release "The Passage" on Nov. 4 and make their debut comeback.
