'Daedanan Guide' Park Myeong-su piqued interest by previewing Kim Dae-ho and Choi Daniel's "affair romance."
On the afternoon of the 28th, MBC Every1's new variety show 'The Great Guide 2.5 - Daedanan Guide' held an online press conference streamed live. The press conference was hosted by announcer Park Ji-min, and director Woo Tak-woo, Park Myeong-su, Kim Dae-ho, Choi Daniel, Lee Mu-jin, Jeon So-min, Oh My Girl Hyojung appeared and talked.
'The Great Guide 2.5 - Daedanan Guide' is one of MBC Every1's 'The Great Guide' series and presents a lighthearted travelogue viewers can easily follow before heading off on the long journey of 'The Great Guide 3.' With all season 2 members — Park Myeong-su, Kim Dae-ho, Choi Daniel, Lee Mu-jin, Jeon So-min and Hyojung — joining, former travel mates Kim Dae-ho and Choi Daniel will take the lead as guides to offer a fresh kind of fun.
That day Park Myeong-su said of 'Daedanan Guide,' "You can see the chemistry between Dae-ho and Daniel. Unexpected chemistry came out and I almost ran out. Bromance suddenly appears and things like that. This is really not a joke; it feels like a challenge for a new kind of variety show. So later Daniel and Dae-ho might even get married," making a bombshell remark that drew laughter.
He explained, "It's a very unique kind of challenge. You feel a bromance between the two men, and the heartbroken heroine So-min comes out jealous of that. She gets jealous and suddenly takes Daniel away. There are even tears in Dae-ho's eyes watching from behind. It becomes a narrative drama."
In response, Choi Daniel agreed, "This trip contains every kind of possessive melodrama you couldn't see before," and announcer Park Ji-min said in surprise, "Just from the story it's something you couldn't even see in drama."
Then Park Myeong-su said, "And suddenly there is Hyojung, the woman at the center of the uproar," adding, "You could even sell it to Netflix. It's a drama. Then an announcer also appears. I've done variety for 33 years, but I don't think it should go this far. Viewers might be unable to contain their shock. 'No!' they might cry," which heightened curiosity.
Meanwhile, 'The Great Guide 2.5 - Daedanan Guide' premieres today (the 28th) at 8:30 p.m.
