BTS Jungkook showed loyalty toward his 'close friend' Cha Eun-woo, who is serving in the military.
Jungkook attended the VIP screening of the film First Ride (director Nam Dae-jung) at Lotte Cinema World Tower in Songpa-gu, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 27th.
Dressed in a black jacket at the photo wall that day, Jungkook appeared holding a life-size doll printed with Cha Eun-woo's face, drawing loud cheers. He then hoisted the doll high, using it to give a salute and wave to fans, earning more cheers.
Jungkook said, "I was so curious about the film. I really wanted to see Eun-woo's acting." He added, "(Eun-woo) said he filmed it thinking about the times we hung out together in our early 20s. I'll watch it with that feeling in mind."
He also offered warm words of support, saying, "Eun-woo, always take good care of your health, serve well, and I hope you complete your service and are discharged on time. Fighting."
Jungkook and Cha Eun-woo, both born in 1997, are part of the '97 line' with NCT Jaehyun, Seventeen Mingyu, and GOT7 Yugyeom. Their attendance at this screening once again proved the strong loyalty of the two long-time friends.
Meanwhile, Cha Eun-woo previewed a different charm by playing the handsome guy Yeon-min in the film First Ride. He will release his second solo mini album ELSE on Nov. 21, continuing his nonstop work even during his military service hiatus.
