Rapper D.ark was arrested on charges of distributing and smoking marijuana.
According to NewDaily on the 28th, Mokpo Police Station arrested D.ark on the 27th on charges of violating the Act on the Control of Narcotics.
Police say D.ark distributed and smoked marijuana. However, D.ark is known to have denied the related charges so far.
D.ark is a Chinese rapper from Yanbian. He gained recognition in 2018 at the age of just 14 when he appeared on Mnet's variety show "Show Me the Money 777". He also appeared on another Mnet variety show, "High School Rapper 4," in 2021.
He signed an exclusive contract last November with the new management company GOD'S PLAN. At the time, GOD'S PLAN described D.ark as "an artist with the potential and possibility to lead the Korean hip-hop scene."
However, D.ark's side has not issued a separate statement regarding the marijuana charges.
