Actors Lee Junho and Kim Minha pledged a rating stunt for Typhoon Family.
On the 27th, Channel Fifteen Night hosted a live broadcast titled "Typhoon Family: a special interview with President Kang Taepung and Assistant Manager Oh Miseon" featuring lead actors Lee Junho and Kim Minha from the tvN weekend drama Typhoon Family.
That day, producer Na Young-seok was surprised after hearing a live performance of the Typhoon Family OST "Did You See The Rainbow?" sung by Lee Junho himself, saying, "I heard this repeatedly while watching the drama but I didn't know. I only listened and didn't look up who sang it, so I didn't realize he sang it himself."
Lee Junho explained, "Actually, I've never released a solo album in Korea, so it may seem unfamiliar, but I wanted the character to come through a bit, and I hoped people wouldn't notice it was my voice, so I kept recording with a different voice." Producer Na Young-seok asked, "Wouldn't the song in the main character's voice break immersion?" and Lee Junho confessed, "And personally, I really dislike that."
Then producer Na Young-seok said, "I'll sing it next time," and Kim Minha replied, "Good. It's a promise. Let's make it a rating stunt." Lee Junho also requested, "If ratings exceed 15%, please do it once during the final ending," and producer Na Young-seok candidly said, "People will criticize me. If it exceeds 15% and I sing," drawing laughter.
Later producer Na Young-seok asked, "Before we wrap up, let's do the rating stunt boldly," and inquired about the pledge. Lee Junho said, "It's true that there's such a thing. Whether it will pass is in the realm of the gods, but if we speak it with that wish, maybe it will come true," and proposed, "If I exceed 15%, I will hand out flowers on the subway. If it exceeds 20%, while singing that 'Did You See The Rainbow?' I will hand out flowers on the subway. Miseon should be singing 'Yeongwon' beside me," presenting an extravagant pledge.
Kim Minha asked, "Aren't you supposed to do it together?" and Lee Junho emphasized, "The staff should all do it together too." Producer Na Young-seok said, "On Line 1? Then we need to set this. If it exceeds 15%, during the week it exceeds 15% we'll briefly do it somewhere on the Incheon subway. Even if it's short, we'll do it once on Line 1. I think it will reach 15% around Nov. 15," adding, "If ratings exceed the target, we'll schedule a good time to do it." Lee Junho showed enthusiasm, "If ratings exceed the target, PD, please pick the date right away."
Producer Na Young-seok said, "If it exceeds 15% we'll do Line 1, and if it exceeds 20% we'll try Line 2. We'll transfer at Sindorim," and when Lee Junho read a comment saying, "Line 1 usually has lots to see," he declared, "We're going to join in," provoking laughter.
