In 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2,' psychiatrist Oh Jin-seung threw the studio into confusion with successive confessions of lies.
On the 27th broadcast of SBS 'Same Bed, Different Dreams Season 2 - You Are My Destiny,' Oh Jin-seung, once called the "male Oh Eun-young," revealed a shocking twist.
On the show he first disclosed, "Dr. Oh Eun-young is my aunt. She is my father's sister," surprising the cast. Oh Jin-seung added, "She often gives me good advice in private, and she even gives sebae money at Lunar New Year," showing sincerity. The cast also agreed, saying, "They resemble each other in the lower face."
Then when he added, "Actor Oh Jung-se is a cousin," the studio buzzed again. Even DinDin said, "I'm hearing this for the first time today," and Oh Jin-seung laughed, "The blood of the Boseong Oh clan runs through me. I try not to fall behind."
But all of this was overturned in an instant. His wife, Kim Do-yeon, exposed, "My husband treats lying like a hobby. He lies to pretend he is close to famous people. There is no blood relation at all."
The atmosphere quickly chilled, and the cast could not hide their embarrassment, saying, "Isn't he a real con artist?" and "Can you lie like this on public television?" Eventually, Lee Hyun even stood up and said, "Shouldn't we stop the recording?"
When asked why, Oh Jin-seung defended himself, "I did it because I wanted attention. I thought it was fun and not harmful to others," but fierce criticism did not stop. Comments such as "At this point he should go to a hospital," "Not funny at all," and "I can't trust the world" followed, and Oh Jin-seung bowed his head, saying, "I was the only one who thought it was fun." Kim Gu-ra stepped in to calm the situation, saying, "He's too apologetic, so let's wrap it up here."
Kim Do-yeon's revelations continued. She said, "My husband lies as soon as he opens his eyes. Nine times out of ten it's a lie," and when Oh Jin-seung again defended himself, saying, "I want my wife's attention," she shot back, "That's a lie too. Every time he opens his mouth it's a lie," which provoked laughter. The panel shook their heads, saying, "He lies a lot even normally, isn't he like the boy who cried wolf?"
Although the sudden bombshell confession and massive exposure of lies threw the atmosphere into chaos, the broadcast barely regained stability with a candid apology and a cheerful ending.
