Group BTS member V added another 500 million-stream song on Spotify.
On the 28th, agency BigHit Music said that the duet Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN), released in November last year by BTS member V and Park Hyo-shin, surpassed 500 million cumulative streams on the world's largest music streaming platform Spotify (as of Oct. 25). This is V's fourth solo song to reach 500 million streams overall, following Love Me Again, FRI(END)S and Slow Dancing.
Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN) is a jazz pop song featuring saxophone and trumpet and dreamlike prepared piano (a piano modified by placing various objects inside it) performances that create a cozy atmosphere. V and Park Hyo-shin's attractive voices form a beautiful harmony with the romantic melody and lyrics.
Immediately after its release, Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN) entered the Billboard main song chart Hot 100 at No. 99, becoming V's fifth Hot 100 solo song. At the time, Billboard selected the song as one of The 27 Best Winter Songs for the Season, saying it evokes the first day of early winter and is a song that fully captures warmth and coziness.
So far, V has a total of 12 solo songs with 100 million-plus streams on Spotify, including Love Me Again, which surpassed 1 billion streams.
