TV CHOSUN's new Monday-Tuesday miniseries "No Next Life" released a third teaser offering a "dopamine connection" with Kim Hee-seon, Han Hye-jin and Jin Seo-yeon's fiery challenge toward a second act in life.
The new Monday-Tuesday miniseries "No Next Life" on TV CHOSUN, directed by Kim Jeong-min, written by Shin I-won and produced by TM E Group, Firstman Studio and Megaphone, is scheduled to premiere at 10 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 10. It is a comic coming-of-age story about three 41-year-old friends exhausted by the daily routine, parenting wars and treadmill-like work life as they stumble and bumble toward a better "complete life." Kim Hee-seon, Han Hye-jin and Jin Seo-yeon play three friends facing the second puberty of midlife, the most anxious and confusing period in life.
In this regard, the third teaser for "No Next Life," released on Monday the 27th, captures the cheerful rebellion of three close friends at 41 who declare a new challenge rather than despair at life's inflection point, promising a "dopamine bomb."
The third teaser opens with an empathetic monologue by Jo Na-jung (played by Kim Hee-seon), who experiences a true period of growth with laughter and tears. First, as Jo Na-jung, Gu Joo-young (played by Han Hye-jin) and Lee Il-ri (played by Jin Seo-yeon) gather at home, raise their glasses and complain about their troubles, Jo Na-jung's voice echoes, "My heart still feels young, but does the world call me midlife and make me feel like I'll grow old so pitifully?" Later, Jo Na-jung gazes at her shining monument labeled "2018 host of the year" and murmurs, "Would it be indulgent to want to live a life that makes my heart race?" evoking sympathy.
After the caption "indulging in the luxuries of life in your 40s" appears, Lee Il-ri's cutting remark, "What is it you really want to do?" coincides as Jo Na-jung crouches and cries while looking at her sleeping children in a dark corner of the room. But when Jo Na-jung says, "I want to work again," her husband Noh Won-bin (played by Yoon Park) turns away coldly, saying, "Do you have to start working at this timing?" leaving Jo Na-jung frustrated.
Meanwhile, Gu Joo-young says, "Since you've already gathered the courage, why not go straight for it?" to encourage Jo Na-jung. A flyer for a "home shopping reemployment briefing: escaping the career gap" strengthens Jo Na-jung's resolve, and scenes of her selling apples are overlaid with the phrase "her grand comeback begins." Especially as Jo Na-jung enters the Sweet Home Shopping building and greets with an excited expression, intercut with flashbacks to her glamorous home shopping legend days, the teaser heralds the tumultuous opening chapter of her growth story.
The production team said, "The third teaser teases the interesting second acts of Kim Hee-seon, Han Hye-jin and Jin Seo-yeon," and added, "Please look forward to the three friends' life reboot project 'No Next Life,' which will ripple Korea with waves of empathy."
Meanwhile, TV CHOSUN's new Monday-Tuesday miniseries "No Next Life" will premiere at 10 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 10, and will be available for streaming on Netflix.
