Netflix variety show Three Idiots in Kenya will premiere on Nov. 25.
Three Idiots in Kenya, which premieres on Nov. 25, is a slapstick African travelogue of the three trusted laugh makers Lee Sugeun, Eun Ji-won and Kyuhyun. The vast wilderness of Kenya and the brothers' chaotic safari takeover trip deliver fresh, raw laughter. Above all, the Na Young-seok team, which produced legendary hits from 2 Days & 1 Night to Samsi-sekki, Youn's Kitchen, New Journey to the West, Earth Arcade and the Green Bean, Red Bean : Reap What You Sow series, is presenting its first variety show on Netflix, co-directed by PD Na Young-seok and PD Kim Ye-seul, generating high anticipation.
Now a community of fate, Lee Sugeun, Eun Ji-won and Kyuhyun promise a godlike back-and-forth. The teaser released that day leaves a short, strong impact and announces the start of Three Idiots in Kenya. After the brothers dressed up as if walking a runway, giraffe friends wandering the grasslands appear. Then Na Young-seok PD's line "Are you ready to kiss a giraffe?" echoes, and a scene shows Kyuhyun interacting with a giraffe. Kyuhyun's face becomes blissful from unexpected tenderness. It raises curiosity about what will unfold for the brothers.
Regarding Three Idiots in Kenya, planned as his first work for Netflix, PD Na Young-seok said, "At first I was burdened by the fact it would be released globally, but I thought a product made with the unique grammar of Korean variety might feel fresh to global viewers," and added, "We made it with traditional variety show techniques. I hope people enjoy it."
PD Kim Ye-seul said, "Because this is our first start on Netflix, I thought it was right to do an item that best showed the concept and that many people have been waiting for," and added, "We planned the program around a trip with friends we haven't seen in a long time. I hope many global viewers will love it."
The African travelogue Three Idiots in Kenya starring Lee Sugeun, Eun Ji-won and Kyuhyun will be available exclusively on Netflix on Nov. 25.
