JYP Entertainment (hereafter JYP) boy group NEXZ completed their first solo domestic concert since debut and took a vigorous new step.
NEXZ (Tomoya, Yuu, Haru, Sogon, Seita, Huey, Yuki) held the special concert 'NEXZ SPECIAL CONCERT' at Olympic Hall, Olympic Park in Songpa-gu, Seoul for two days from Oct. 25 to Oct. 26.
Domestic first solo concert opens the door wide! Emitting intense + refreshing infinite charm!
NEXZ opened the intense curtain with the hip-hop track "Simmer" and the mini album 1 track "HARD," which metaphorically express tension that rises amid taut suspense, then heated the atmosphere by consecutively performing the Korean version of the title track of their second Japanese EP "One Bite" and the mini album 1 title track "NALLINA." The members said, "We have been counting down the days for this. We were very nervous because this is our first concert in Korea, but seeing NEX2Y fill the seats gives us strength. We prepared many great stages today, so please enjoy them with us," expressing their overwhelming feelings toward their first solo concert under their own names. They filled the venue with fresh, refreshing energy that recalled their spring 2024 debut, performing debut song "Ride the Vibe," "Starlight," and "Miracle (Korean Ver.)," and delivered varied album tracks such as "Because of you," "Make it Better," and "Whatever Whenever" with solid live performances that pleased the audience's eyes and ears.
"NEXZ~ tear it up!" Adrenaline explodes in a "stage hotspot" energy!
The first public performance of a new track from mini album 3 "Beat-Boxer," released today (27th), was undoubtedly the highlight of this concert. The seven members overwhelmed fans at once with a thrilling intro and led roaring cheers by performing the full version of the title track "Beat-Boxer." The point choreography that extends the foot to the lyrics "hottening Sneakers," NEXZ's signature acrobatic formations, and powerful movements combined to tear up the stage just as they intended, and with the album track "I'm Him," which had its music video pre-released on the 3rd, they expressed confident lines such as "I am that person, not anyone else" with an unrestrained attitude and erupted with dynamic energy.
Their excellent choreography synchronization befitting a "next-generation performance hotspot," perfect teamwork, and explosive stage presence were also viewing highlights. They exuded disciplined charisma with "BURNING BLACK" and "Want More? One More!" and showcased various performances they presented in the group's own project "NEXZ Archive," thrilling fans. They reinterpreted the Stray Kids song "Walkin On Water (HIP Ver.)" with original choreography layered on top in NEXZ's own colors, performed KYLE's "Hey Julie! (feat. Lil Yachty)" on day one and Kendrick Lamar's "peekaboo (feat. AZ Chike)" on day two, alternating between lively and hip charms to prove a broad spectrum and concept adaptability. In addition, the mini album 2 title track "O-RLY?," which rose to No. 1 on domestic real-time music charts and became a candidate for music show No. 1, and "Next Zeneration," written by members Tomoya, Haru, and Huey, added vitality with NEXZ's unique free-spirited and energetic tension.
NEXZ ♡ NEX2Y, a dream stage completed together!
VCRs that were fun to watch also played a significant role in the concert. Sensory videos in which the seven members each expressed music and beats in their own way increased immersion, and when a NEXZOO mascot costume representing the members was revealed performing the "Beat-Boxer" choreography in a surprise NEXZOO version performance video, fans' faces lit up with bright smiles. Moreover, on the afternoon of the 26th, a teaser of that video was opened on the group's official SNS channels, keeping the excitement going. Various visual effects such as fireworks, lasers, and lighting and stage production that evoked a boxing arena further raised the atmosphere. True to their reputation as devoted "NEX2Y fans," during the encore they sang "Keep on Moving (Korean Ver.)" and "Here & Now" while moving through the audience and exchanged warm greetings with fans. They left a warm afterglow with "Eye to Eye," "Slo-mo," and "Run With Me," and NEX2Y completed an emotional moment by holding up slogans containing messages of love and support for NEXZ.
After the performance, Tomoya, Yuu, Haru, Sogon, Seita, Huey, and Yuki shared their thoughts on successfully completing their first solo domestic concert. They said tearfully, "Performing on the Olympic Hall stage was one of our big dreams, and we are happy to have achieved it. We were able to spend such a happy time today thanks to all of NEX2Y. We received such great energy before our comeback; let's run toward one dream with our NEX2Y and NEXZ. We are always grateful to and love NEX2Y who support us. We will work hard to continue making the best memories going forward." They met the eyes of each audience member until the end, communicated their gratitude without reserve, and conveyed their heartfelt thanks.
NEXZ, who debuted globally in May 2024, is leaving an impression with a remarkable growth trajectory befitting their ambition to "lead the new generation and the future." Recently, they drew more than 50,000 spectators over three months with their first live tour in Japan, NEXZ LIVE TOUR 2025 "One Bite," spanning 18 performances in 15 Japanese cities, and entered Tokyo Budokan, the "holy ground of Japanese performances," within a year of their formal debut in the market. They achieved clear results at several popular music awards, including winning the Best 5 New Artists category at the 39th Japan Gold Disc Awards and recognition at "ASEA 2025" and "2025 TMA." Today (27th), they released their third mini album "Beat-Boxer" and its title track of the same name, marking a welcome comeback six months later. Expectations are rising for NEXZ's moves as they step into the ring of the stage to deliver a thrilling blow that will shake the music scene.
