Actor Rowoon shared his feelings about enlisting.
Fashion magazine Marie Claire released Rowoon's final pictorial and interview before enlistment, showcasing the actor who broadened his acting horizons through the drama "The Murky Stream."
Like Jang Si-yul in "The Murky Stream," this pictorial expressing a lonely, solitary character saw Rowoon raise the shoot's completion with deeper and more intimate expressions than ever. In particular, it was reported that in the scene capturing him wandering a nighttime street, his graceful expressions and poses drew admiration from all the staff present.
In the interview that followed the shoot, he revealed immense affection for "The Murky Stream," his final work before enlistment. "I'm not just saying this, the set of "The Murky Stream" was truly wonderful. I could clearly feel that I was respected and loved both as the character Jang Si-yul and as myself," the praise for the work and the set that began with those words continued as a tribute to director Chu Chang-min, who led "The Murky Stream."
Rowoon, who said that even when time was tight they were able to keep talking for the actor's understanding and freely create together, expressed deep respect, calling working with director Chu Chang-min on this project "The Divine Move."
When asked about his feelings ahead of enlistment, he offered a cute pledge that, following fans' advice, he would play soccer diligently, and he also expressed confidence that he was not afraid of the career gap. "I'm really looking forward to my 30s and 40s, and I have confidence that I'll become a better actor than now. Some may ask what baseless confidence that is, but because I truly wish for it, I think I'll attain that version of myself," Rowoon gave his bold aspiration and his final greeting before enlistment.
