Hong Joo-chan will release his first single "Rise & Shine" on the 26th at 6 p.m. on various music platforms, announcing a welcome return to global fans.
The title track of the same name, "Rise & Shine," is a band-sound song based on the pop-rock genre, featuring a popular melody that allows listeners to breathe with it and a narrative that captures surging emotions.
It sings of the memory of "us" who became strength for each other during hard times while also embedding a message of hope to the "us" who will shine more in the future, and Hong Joo-chan's deeply pleading voice blends to paint the most radiant scene of youth.
In addition, various solo tracks that let listeners feel Hong Joo-chan's musical footsteps are included. It was completed as an album that includes the remake song Problem Child released in 2019, last year's second remake "How Is It," and the instrumental (backing) track of the title song "Rise & Shine," looking back on Hong Joo-chan's musical journey and heralding a new path forward.
Earlier, Hong Joo-chan pre-released the title track "Rise & Shine" at his solo fan meeting "Joo-bit Night: Hidden Track" held in Seoul last month. On stage, Hong Joo-chan used a stand microphone to create a refreshing yet powerful performance that completely captivated fans.
Since his debut in 2017, Hong Joo-chan has established himself as an all-around artist by showing notable activities not only in group promotions but also in musicals, variety shows and radio. Returning with a voice as deep and matured as his visuals, expectations grow for the new emotion he will deliver with "Rise & Shine."
