Pop star Katy Perry (41) and former Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau (53) have finally appeared as an "official couple."
On the 26th (local time), according to foreign reports including TMZ, the two appeared holding hands as they celebrated Perry's 41st birthday together at Paris landmark "Crazy Horse Paris." Fans and reporters swarmed the scene, and Trudeau and Perry drew attention with affectionate behavior throughout.
That day Katy Perry drew attention in a form-fitting red dress, and Trudeau appeared in a stylish suit. According to witnesses, after watching the performance the two got into a car holding hands, and their looks toward each other were full of a "romantic mood."
U.S. outlet Us Weekly reported, "Katy is very invested in her relationship with Trudeau. She looks really happy." It added, however, that "they are still keeping the relationship quiet and only telling close friends."
Perry split from her former fiancé, actor Orlando Bloom. The two dated from 2016 and became engaged on Valentine's Day in 2019, but officially acknowledged their split in July. Their daughter Daisy Dove (5) is being co-parented.
Trudeau also ended an 18-year marriage last year and divorced his wife Sophie Grégoire. He has three children and stepped down as prime minister of Canada in March 2025.
Earlier, the two sparked dating rumors when they were spotted sharing affectionate moments on a yacht over the summer. Several sightings followed, and the Paris birthday date effectively proved they are an "official couple."
On social media, reactions have included, "Is this pairing real?", "Katy Perry's tastes are getting political," and "Trudeau looks so gentle; they suit each other well."
