Band Wave to Earth member Kim Daniel proved his influence as a songwriter.
Kim Daniel won the songwriter of the year award at the TikTok Awards 2025 held on the 25th at Hwajeong Gymnasium, Korea University in Seoul.
Kim Daniel, who composed Wave to Earth's signature songs such as bad (배드), seasons (시즌스) and 사랑으로, has been the driving force behind the strong reactions online and offline, and he earned the honor of being the inaugural winner of the songwriter of the year award.
Through his agency, Kim Daniel said he was moved, noting, "Thanks to the strong reaction and interest on social media and online, I became a musician who tours the world."
Meanwhile, Wave to Earth, which Kim Daniel is part of, has formed a global fandom centered on TikTok and other social media and is conducting tour concerts around the world in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
Kim Daniel is also active as the guitarist and vocalist of the band The Poles. The Poles proved music fans' strong interest by selling out all seats for their solo concerts space boys (스페이스 보이즈) to be held at Myeonghwa Live Hall in Seoul on Nov. 1 and 2.
