Group i-dle member Miyeon will be the third solo act from the group this year.
Miyeon will release her second mini album MY, Lover on Nov. 3 and will carry out solo activities for the first time in 3 years and 6 months. Ahead of the album, she will release the pre-release track Reno (Feat. Colde) on the 28th of this month to warm up for her comeback and showcase her own musical world.
i-dle had active activities this year as well as last year. In May, with a team rebranding, they released mini album No. 8 We are, and Minnie and Yuqi released their first mini album and first single, respectively. Alongside group activities, musical works that reflected the members' unique tastes and personalities received positive reviews.
In January, Minnie solidified her position as a solo singer with her debut first mini album and the title track of the same name, HER, expressing both the Minnie on stage as an artist and the Minnie seen by the public. Yuqi released the digital single Radio (Dum-Dum) in March and then showed wide-ranging expressive power from boom-bap hip-hop to emotional rock with her first single Motivation in September.
Miyeon follows Minnie and Yuqi as this year's solo baton bearer for i-dle. This year Miyeon included her self-composed song Unstoppable on i-dle's mini album No. 8 We are, and officially released Sky Walking, a self-composed song she had performed on solo stages during last year's world tour. Having shown exceptional musical ability, Miyeon is preparing bold attempts and transformations she could not show during group activities.
In particular, following her first mini album MY, Miyeon will present another new charm through the pre-release track Reno (Feat. Colde) from her second mini album MY, Lover. Reno (Feat. Colde) expresses the mad moments that love can bring, and singer-songwriter Colde participated as a featured artist to raise the song's completeness.
The music video teaser and concept photos released ahead of the Reno (Feat. Colde) release offer a preview of this change. In the music video teaser, Miyeon foreshadows the love on the brink of destruction in the song with trembling, anxious eyes and hand motions drawing and aiming a gun.
Miyeon's second mini album is expected to be a new challenge as a solo artist, different from her previous songs that focused on lovable atmospheres. Through her solo activities, tracks that are expanding i-dle's musical capabilities are also expected to appear on Miyeon's new release. Miyeon's second mini album MY, Lover will be released at 6 p.m. on the 3rd of next month on various music sites.
