Song Ji-eun, formerly of girl group Secret, rode in a car driven by her husband Park Wi.
On the 24th, a video titled "We promised to stand on our own two feet and travel in five years" was posted on Park Wi's YouTube channel WERACLE. The video shows Park Wi and Song Ji-eun enjoying a vacation in Los Angeles after attending official events to which they were invited in the United States.
In particular, Park Wi rented a hand-controlled rental car in LA. He expressed hope and regret, saying, "I wish there were rental cars with hand controllers in Korea, too." Song Ji-eun agreed, saying, "They are easy to find here."
Even at the moment of picking up the rental car, people naturally gave up their place to Park Wi, who was in a wheelchair. The habit of smiling and showing consideration to the vulnerable moved viewers.
Park Wi, who said he had driven in Guam before, was nervous, saying, "This is my first time driving on the U.S. mainland." Even so, he excitedly laughed and asked, "How is it with my husband driving?"
Song Ji-eun responded with a laugh, "Good!" She also praised, "What I felt coming here is that many people have consideration for the vulnerable ingrained in them."
Park Wi is paralyzed from the waist down. He has been praised for presenting YouTube content on WERACLE to raise awareness of people with disabilities. Park Wi and Song Ji-eun were married in October of last year.
