MBN K-Bakery survival show "Cheonhajeppang," which will air in February 2026, is the nation's first "K-Bakery survival" to select the world's top baker, leading the craze of "K-bread," which has become a trend beyond mere food. From master bakers gathered from Paldo Co., to world-renowned pâtissiers, to underground bakers with novel recipes, a massive global baking competition featuring 72 pastry and bakery chefs from around the world will strip away ranks and compete, spreading the power of "K-bread" that will astonish the world in the first half of 2026.
In this context, "Cheonhajeppang" has drawn attention by revealing a first-lineup of judges that combines expertise and mass appeal. First, Lee Seok-won, the youngest master baker currently in Korea, is one of only 17 master bakers in the country, a former youngest executive chef at Sungsimdang in Daejeon, and served as the baking chief and international judge at the 2026 WorldSkills competition, making him a leading figure in Korea's baking world. On "Cheonhajeppang," Lee Seok-won is expected to serve energetically as a national baking mentor, offering warm encouragement and piercing critiques.
Kim Na-rae, the "baker recognized by the world," is a living legend who was named the 2024 Pastry Chef of the Year by France's Gault&Millau, an internationally prestigious gastronomic guide often mentioned alongside Michelin. Currently serving as the head pastry chef at the five-star H Hotel in Paris, the world capital of desserts, world-renowned pâtissier Kim Na-rae commands the venue with a sweetly fierce charisma.
Mimi, the "dessert queen of the entertainment industry," is a genuine dessert enthusiast who freely confesses her love for desserts on various broadcasts and displays the perfect celebrity judge qualities for the nation's first K-Bakery survival show "Cheonhajeppang." Mimi will share knowledge and trends she has honed through years of dessert mukbangs, and with her 20,000% relatable descriptions of taste she will offer popular picks and help liven potentially stiff atmospheres.
Meanwhile, "Cheonhajeppang" has attracted intense interest as a dream-team production combining the strengths of survival and food variety formats, jointly invested by the production team and K-Bakery Global, a leader in the global K-bakery industry.
