'Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant' Lee Chan-won confessed that he was very popular with high school girls during his high school days.
On the 24th episode of KBS 2TV entertainment show 'Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant' (hereinafter "Fun-Staurant"), Lee Chan-won's "Youth cheering project part 2" was revealed.
On that day, Lee Chan-won drew attention by being enshrined as a person who brought honor to his alma mater, Kyungwon High School. When he found his name under "Entertainment Award winner" on one side of the lobby, he marveled, "They really updated it quickly."
As soon as he entered the school, Lee Chan-won first visited the principal's office. The principal, greeting him with a bright smile, said, "Every year you don't forget the teachers and send flowers," and told a heartwarming story that he sends flowers to 24 teachers every year on Teacher's Day.
Then Lee Chan-won visited the computer room and met his homeroom teacher from his third year of high school, who had appeared on the show before. Lee Chan-won said, "I came to keep my promise to visit the school as guest chef."
Meanwhile, as the event was carried out in strict secrecy, Lee Chan-won gathered all 600 students in the gymnasium and made a surprise appearance. After passionately singing, he said, "I've performed at many shows and events and sung in front of tens of thousands of people, but today is the most meaningful and nerve‑wracking moment."
Lee Chan-won also held a question-and-answer session with his juniors. At that time, one student asked, "Please tell me how to get a girlfriend," and Lee Chan-won joked, "Back when I was in school, at festivals high school girls would come, right? I was always the emcee here. After I finished hosting and went down, two or three high school girls would ask me for my phone number."
Meanwhile another student asked, "Do you have a girlfriend now?" Lee Chan-won asked rhetorically, "Would I tell you if I did? Even if I did," then drew a line by saying, "I don't have one now."
After spending a pleasant time with his juniors, he prepared homemade fried chicken for the third-year students who were attending night self-study. He completed as many as 200 servings and prepared them by putting them into cups one by one from the food truck.
When he met the dormitory superintendent teacher then, Lee Chan-won ran barefoot to hug them and expressed his gratitude, saying, "That teacher really taught and guided me a lot at that time."
When night study time ended and students were leaving school, they spotted Lee Chan-won's food truck and ran over. Lee Chan-won handed out fried chicken to all 200 students, offering words of encouragement to each one.
After finishing the snack truck event, Lee Chan-won said, "My juniors ate it deliciously and even said to me, 'It was delicious,' with such nice words, so I think I gained more happiness," creating a warm moment.
