SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Would You Merry Me (directed by Song Hyun-wook, Hwang In-hyeok / written by Lee Ha-na / produced by Studio S, Samhwa Networks)' is about a bitter-sweet 90-day fake marriage between two people fighting to win a luxury newlywed home prize. Episode 5 recorded a peak rating of 9.1%, 7.8% in the Seoul metropolitan area, and a 2049 peak of 3.1%, setting a new personal best and securing first place among Friday miniseries for three consecutive weeks and first place in ratings among all programs across all channels in the same time slot, proving its confident hit power. In episode 5, the scene shows Kim Woo-ju (played by Choi Woo-sik) learning that Yu-me-ri (played by Jung So-min) had been his first love. As Woo-ju and Me-ri appear to be developing feelings for each other, Me-ri's former fiancé Kim Woo-ju (played by Seo Beom-jun) discovers Woo-ju and Me-ri at the townhouse, heightening the tension.
Ahead of episode 6 airing today (25th), the production of 'Would You Merry Me' released stills of a dizzying three-way confrontation between Woo-ju, Me-ri and the former fiancé Woo-ju, drawing attention.
In the released stills, the former fiancé Woo-ju is wearing a hospital gown with an arm cast and a back brace. Beside the disabled former fiancé Woo-ju is a cold-faced Me-ri. Me-ri, disgusted by the former fiancé Woo-ju's theatrics to attract attention, gives him a chilly look.
In another still, Woo-ju meets Me-ri with the former fiancé Woo-ju clinging to her side. Woo-ju glares at the former fiancé Woo-ju with furious eyes. With a stern look that silently warns the former fiancé Woo-ju, Woo-ju takes the former fiancé Woo-ju away from Me-ri, removing him from her side and provoking laughter. In particular, Woo-ju's merciless treatment of the former fiancé Woo-ju, driven by jealousy, foreshadows romance.
