tvN 'Typhoon Family' boss Lee Junho becomes part of Ms. Kim's household.
In the previous episode of the tvN Saturday-Sunday drama Typhoon Family (directed by Na Jung Lee and Dong-hwi Kim, written by Hyun Jang, planned by Studio Dragon, produced by Imaginus, Studio PIC and Tree Studio), another gust of hardship blew toward Kang Taepung (Lee Junho). On a Christmas day that had been full of romance that made it seem a miracle could happen even in the harshness of the IMF, he, feeling cheerfully buoyed and having bought a cake and a music box to take home, was struck by the thunderbolt news that his house had been sold at auction. In an instant he and his mother Jung Jeong-mi (Kim Ji-young) were left out on the snowy street.
Because movable property had been seized, the two could only take basic necessities for living; their only valuables were a wedding ring he had barely hidden in his mouth and a mink coat left at the dry cleaner. With nowhere to go, the pair had no choice but to head to Taepung Sangsa, where their father's years were imprinted. Despite the cold caused by drafts, they warmed themselves with cup noodles and listened to the pretty melody from the music box; the two spent a day whose hearts were warm with each other's warmth.
However, stills released ahead of the broadcast showing the Taepung pair struggling up a hill with their luggage and heading somewhere amplify curiosity.
With nowhere left to stay, their next destination is none other than the home of Taepung Sangsa section chief Oh Mi-seon (Kim Min-ha). Having left the cozy Apgujeong apartment filled with family memories, they now end up moving in as members of section chief Oh's household. Rather than collapsing in sorrow, the mother and son support each other and rise again, making viewers look forward to the cheerful episodes that will unfold there.
As the pre-release video shows, the former ace accountant turned confident company man, section chief Oh Mi-seon, lives with her younger sister Oh Mi-ho (Kwon Han-sol), the neighborhood queen bee who dreamed of becoming a flight attendant; grandmother Yeom Bun-i (Kim Young-ok), whose memory has faded but whose love for the family is full; youngest sibling Oh Beom (Kwon Eun-seong), who loves Paeng-i and Dda-jo; and the family's third-ranked dog Mija.
Suddenly faced with two new household members, each showing different reactions, it is intriguing to imagine what kind of day they will have. The cohabitation under one roof of the Taepung pair and the Oh family will create unexpected commotion and laughter while unfolding warm stories that rekindle the feelings of that time.
The production team previewed, "Today (the 25th), the Taepung pair will move into Mi-seon's house," and said, "Episodes that unfold as a boss who once lived in Apgujeong now ends up living off a section chief will deliver warm resonance amid laughter." They added, "Through stories of people who become warmth for one another despite their wounds and realities, viewers will once again feel the affection of 1997," asking viewers to look forward to it. Episode 5 of Typhoon Family will air tonight (the 25th) at 9:10 p.m. on tvN.
