In today's (25th) broadcast of the tvN weekend drama "Typhoon Family" (directed by Na Jung Lee and Dong-hwi Kim, written by Hyun Jang, planned by Studio Dragon, produced by Imaginus·Studio PIC·Tree Studio), Kang Tae-poong (Lee Jun-ho) faces crisis as the Shoebak safety shoe transaction he discovered in Busan takes an unexpected turn. Just as Pyo Park-ho (Kim Sang-ho), president of Pyo Sang-seon, blindsided him, tension rises over whether he will also be conned by Park Yoon-chul (Jin Sun-kyu), president of Shoebak.
Earlier, Tae-poong visited Busan, where dollars and exports gather. There he met Yoon-chul, the owner of the 32-year-old safety shoe brand Shoebak, and rekindled a spark of hope. After witnessing a strength test that even a metal skewer and fire could not penetrate, Tae-poong, who marveled that "these are not shoes but science," immediately contracted for 500 pairs of safety shoes. Proud for the first time of an item he had discovered, he returned to Seoul and continued to gaze at the safety shoes with bright, excited eyes.
But the stills released today (25th) show a very different face of Tae-poong than the one full of hope. When he returns to Busan, what he encounters is an empty factory so silent that no machine noise can be heard. Tae-poong's gaze wavers, stunned at what might be Yoon-chul's betrayal. Then he notices Yoon-chul huddled in a corner. For some reason, Yoon-chul appears before Tae-poong with a bloodied face, his eyes unfocused as if he has lost everything.
The released preview video captures this scene even more vividly. Losing his composure and clasping his hands in prayer, repeatedly saying "I'm sorry," Yoon-chul is pressed by Tae-poong, who urgently demands, "Where is my money?" But Yoon-chul's anxious look already suggests he used even gangsters' money and is now pushed to the brink. Then the identity of a loan shark (Lee Jae-gyun), who exudes an unusual presence, is revealed, escalating the tense standoff with Tae-poong to a fever pitch. Attention is focused on how Tae-poong will break through this ominous wind in the broadcast.
The production team said, "In today's broadcast, Kang Tae-poong will again stand before a crisis. How a transaction that began with trust changes, and what choices Tae-poong makes within it, will be key points."
