Actors Jo In-sung, Park Bo-young and In Gyo-jin, known as fans of pro baseball team Hanwha Eagles in the entertainment industry, were moved by Hanwha's advancement to the Korean Series for the first time in 19 years.
On Oct. 24 Jo In-sung shared a photo showing a Hanwha Eagles cap with the caption "now it's Jamsil." He had previously shown his affection for baseball several times.
Earlier Jo In-sung, through the YouTube channel "Pinggego," confessed, "When the baseball season ends I feel empty. It feels like parting with a friend you used to meet at 6:30. I really hate rainy days. Because there's no baseball." The baseball schedule of "Wed-Thu-Fri-Sat-Sun" had perfectly taken its place in his daily life.
Park Bo-young shared a captured photo of Hanwha players expressing the joy of victory, writing, "I am happy. Choe-kang Hanwha."
In Gyo-jin posted a photo of himself wearing a Hanwha uniform and wrote, "I am happy everyone thank you ~~~ I'm so happy." His wife, actress So Yi-hyun, responded, "Today was truly a great match~~ congratulations."
Hanwha on Oct. 24 defeated the Samsung Lions 11-2 in the fifth game of the playoff held in Daejeon, winning the series 3-2 and advancing to the Korean Series. For the first time in 19 years since 2006, they will face regular-season first-place LG beginning on the 26th in a best-of-seven series.
