Bringing life into the world is never easy, and twin births in particular are far from simple. Twin pregnancies, considered a high-risk pregnancy, carry various complication risks during delivery. Recently, YouTuber Lim Lara and actress Ji So-yeon confessed to the realistic difficulties of childbirth after experiencing bleeding symptoms, drawing much sympathy.
Actress Ji So-yeon said on social media on the 25th, "I went to the hospital yesterday because of sudden bleeding. Seeing so much blood at once made me dizzy, scared and frightened," describing the urgent situation at the time. She added, "I realized anew that every moment of carrying, giving birth to and raising a child is such a difficult and overwhelming thing. My mother gave birth to three, and I wonder how much fear and worry she must have endured then."
Ji So-yeon confessed, "I thought of my parents who gave everything away since I was young. I wondered whether I too could become such parents, and my heart felt heavy," and said, "There were many days I endured in tears while carrying twins, but I was able to hold on because my family cried and laughed with me." She left a heartfelt message, "Today I promise again. I want to be that kind of parent to my children too. I can, right…?"
Ji So-yeon married actor Song Jae-hee in 2017, and after her first daughter in 2023 she gave birth to twin son and daughter last September. She recently visited the hospital for heavy bleeding but has now stabilized.
Lim Lara of the "Enjoy Couple" was admitted to the intensive care unit after severe bleeding following childbirth. Her husband Son Min-su said on the 23rd, "Lara suddenly had heavy bleeding and came to the emergency room and was admitted to the intensive care unit," and appealed, "She must be afraid to be alone but I can't be by her side, and all I can do now is pray. Please pray that she recovers in good health."
Lim Lara delivered twin son and daughter by cesarean section on the 14th. In late pregnancy she endured extreme pain, including pruritus gravidarum spreading over her body, yet she held her two children. However, heavy bleeding delayed her recovery, and she devoted herself to treatment, including phototherapy immediately after delivery.
Son Min-su later said, "Lara received a blood transfusion and is currently recovering. We are grateful to everyone who worried," but with no further news since then fans' concerns continue.
