tvN 'Typhoon Family''s Lee Junho and the father-and-son Kim Sang-ho and Moo Jin-seong of 'Pyo Sangseon' engage in a ruthless corporate war that is now intensifying.
In tvN's weekend drama Typhoon Family (directed by Na Jung Lee and Dong-hwi Kim; written by Hyun Jang; planned by Studio Dragon; produced by Imaginus, Studio PIC and Tris Studio), Kang Taepung (Lee Junho) gives up his dream of flowers to become the president of a trading company to protect his father Kang Jin-young (Seong Dong-il)'s 26 years. Even amid crisis, he does not lose hope and pushes forward, and as he finds enjoyment in the job of a "trading company man," a feud with Pyo Park-ho (Kim Sang-ho), the president of Pyo Sangseon, and his son and director Pyo Hyun-jun (Moo Jin-seong) begins to surface.
Pyo Park-ho, who advised, "You can't learn without falling," personally tried to knock Taepung down and showed the cold world of corporate men. He smiled kindly as he lent a warehouse on credit to Taepung, who was in trouble with nowhere to store a large amount of fabric immediately, but behind that smile lurked a toxic clause: "after the maximum storage period of 72 hours, all received fabrics will be seized and destroyed."
But Taepung did not simply collapse in the face of crisis. He cleverly exploited a unit mistake to make Pyo Sangseon accept a return, then sold the remaining 10% of his fabric at three times the price to turn losses into profits. Saying he was learning from his father, Taepung's confidence — "If you fall and fall again, one day you will fly above the president" — led to his first true flight as a real trading company man in the harsh world.
After being hit back by Taepung, Pyo Park-ho began to watch him closely. When Taepung was left on the street, he sneered, "How would it feel if a young man loses things one by one?" Earlier, he visited Kang Jin-young's hospital room before his death and left an ominous remark: "I have to see his eyes to know, where is he."
