BOYNEXTDOOR (Seongho, Liu, Myeong Jaehyeon, Taesan, Ihan, Unhak)'s mini fifth album "The Action" title track "Hollywood Action" ranked No. 1 on Instagram's "reels rising audio" chart as of 2 p.m. on the 24th. On the global short-form mobile video platform TikTok (TikTok), about 16,000 videos using the track were posted as of 2 p.m. on the 24th. That means that in four days since release, content was uploaded at a rate of three per minute, showing the passionate interest of short-form users in the group.
The upward trend after music shows is also encouraging. BOYNEXTDOOR performed the title track "Hollywood Action" on Mnet's "M Countdown" on the 23rd. The large, sweeping movements and choreography reminiscent of action movies are popular. On TikTok, posts using the "Hollywood Action" track surged after the broadcast, with about 1,000 videos uploaded in just half a day.
"Hollywood Action" ranked fifth on the Korean Apple Music "Top 100" chart dated the 22nd and 10th on Korea Spotify's "Daily Top Songs." Besides the title track, all tracks from the new release, including "Live In Paris," "JAM!," "Bathroom," and "Itjanna," appeared on both charts. Global music fans' reaction is also hot. The new release ranked No. 2 on Japan's Oricon daily album ranking (dated the 22nd), and "Hollywood Action" placed sixth on the major music site Line Music's "Daily Top Songs" (dated the 23rd).
