HyunA is enjoying married life, but has the shadow of a "former girlfriend" become an indelible mark for DUN?
Singer DUN is once again entangled with his ex, HyunA. Three years have passed since their breakup, and HyunA married singer Yong Junhyung, but DUN still carried HyunA's shadow. Though DUN calmly drew a line, all of his remarks related to dating are being linked to HyunA.
On the 22nd, episodes 6 and 7 of the TVING original variety show "EXchange" were released, featuring DUN as a guest. DUN, who completed alternative service as a social service worker in July, made his first broadcast appearance and officially announced his comeback.
MC Lee Yongjin asked DUN, "The producers said they've been calling since the previous season," and DUN laughed, saying, "At that time I wasn't in a position to do anything." It was a situation following a long, tumultuous public relationship with HyunA and their subsequent breakup.
In particular, that day DUN faced questions that reminded people of his ex, HyunA, drawing attention. Regarding cast members on "EXchange" who meet new people or reunite, DUN drew a line, saying, "I have never contacted them after breaking up. Even if they contact me, I never replied, so I can't understand reunions."
When Lee Yongjin asked, "Doesn't X feel jealous when someone else gets close to another person?" DUN candidly replied, "Wouldn't you know?" Because HyunA dated and married Yong Junhyung after breaking up with DUN, this remark was also interpreted as related to HyunA. Lee Yongjin apologized, saying, "I'm sorry." DUN's remarks have become a topic among viewers as "comments that bring HyunA to mind."
DUN and HyunA began a public relationship in 2016, attracting various issues such as agency problems. The two appeared on variety shows together and openly showed affection by posting couple photos on social media, but they announced their breakup in November 2022. Although several reconciliation rumors surfaced afterward, HyunA married long-time colleague Yong Junhyung last year and began a new chapter in her life.
HyunA has already settled into a new relationship, but because the public relationship with DUN was quite tumultuous, they still seem to carry labels attached to each other.
