Group BTS member Jin's encore fan concert is a week away.
Jin will hold "#RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR_ENCORE" for two days on Oct. 31-Nov. 1 at the main stadium of Incheon Munhak Stadium in Michuhol District, Incheon. The performance will also be available via online streaming on the global superfans platform Weverse.
Ahead of the concert, Jin released a question-and-answer that further raised expectations through his agency BigHit Music.
Q. the moment you are most looking forward to at the encore fan concert
: At the last concert, there was a segment where ARMY (fandom name) sang and I guessed the title. Some fans wrote that they felt sorry they couldn't sing well. They said, "This time we will prepare that part more diligently." By my standards, I thought everyone sang really fun and well. (Laughs) So I am really excited. Because it is an outdoor concert, it might be a bit chilly, so it would be good to come dressed warmly. I will take responsibility for the energy of the performance that day. I hope you come with a pounding heart.
Q. what has changed compared with the last tour
: We expanded the scale beyond the June Goyang fan concert to prepare a stage where we can breathe closer with the audience. I also newly changed the medley composition, so I'm a bit worried whether you will like it. There are songs I haven't sung in a very long time. I'm slightly curious whether ARMY remember these songs. There will be special production elements that can only be seen this time, so you can look forward to that.
Q. the biggest lesson learned from the last tour
: I was really happy to be able to meet ARMY in each city while conducting my first solo fan concert tour. There was pressure because I was leading the show alone, but as the shows continued I learned a lot about how to carry the stage more stably. I became more attentive to pacing my stamina and managing my condition, and above all, ARMY's support became a great source of strength for me and gave me a lot of confidence. I was grateful that they responded far more passionately than I had worried about, and I thought that if my stamina holds up, I could run and play with ARMY until the end.
Q. now, one week before the concert, the strongest feeling you have
: I miss ARMY so much. This concert started from the desire to meet ARMY. I trust ARMY and am preparing with my best efforts. I am nervous like the first concert, but the excitement of meeting those who waited for me again is greater. Above all, I hope it will be a time when both ARMY and I can fully enjoy and play.
Q. tips to enjoy this concert 100%
: As an encore concert, I want to create every moment together with ARMY. I hope you focus and enjoy it from start to finish. We are considering various ways to meet ARMY more closely. Above all, I think the audience's cheering completes the performance. Looking back, I hope the "Run Seokjin" tour remains a happy and enjoyable memory in your minds. I will also prepare hard with that feeling and wait for the day we meet. And although you already run and play well, it would be great if you bring stamina so you can do jump-jump this time too. "Run Seokjin" tastes best when watched while running. (Laughs)
Agency BigHit Music said, "We thank ARMY for the support you have shown. Special stages are prepared for the encore fan concert, so please look forward to it."
"#RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR_ENCORE" is the stage that will crown the finale of the fan concert that began in Goyang in June. Jin met fans around the world by performing a total of 18 shows in nine cities, including Japan, the United States and Europe, during his first solo fan concert tour.
"#RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR" is a concept that expanded the worldview of BTS's official YouTube content "Run Seokjin." Jin was praised for opening new horizons for fan concerts through not only singing but also games and costume events with fans.
Jin became the first Korean solo artist to play London's O2 Arena and drew the largest-ever audience for a Korean artist at the Honda Center in Anaheim. He also became the first Korean solo artist to sell out the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
