KBS2's Jun Hyun-moo will reveal a real "hammam" sauna.
KBS 2TV's "The Bosses' Ears Are Donkey Ears" (directed by Ahn Sang-eun, hereafter "Donkey Ears") is a self-reflection program in which Korea's bosses voluntarily put themselves in others' shoes to create workplaces that make people want to work. Last week it recorded a peak rating of 6.9%, marking 177 consecutive weeks at No. 1 in its time slot (Nielsen Korea).
The 329th episode of "Donkey Ears," which will air on the 26th (Sun), will reveal Jun Hyun-moo, Um Ji-in, Jeong Ho-young and Heo Yoo-won's appearance on Turkish public broadcaster TRT along with Jun Hyun-moo and Jeong Ho-young's experience at Turkey's representative sauna, the "hammam." The "hammam" is a Turkish traditional bath made 550 years ago, and its distinctive body scrub procedure has become a hot topic. Before the footage was released, Jun Hyun-moo said, "Please pay attention to this person," and "Until now we did not know the seriousness. Watch what happens," raising tension and expectation.
In particular, Jun Hyun-moo will, for the first time in the show's history, fully reveal the scene of his real scrubbing. As Jun Hyun-moo and Jeong Ho-young lie staggered on a large marble slab and repeat rhythmic motions like music—full-body soap lathering followed by the sharp hand pressure and marble rotation—Kim Sook clutches her belly and laughs.
Especially when the sharp hand pressure that comes relentlessly with each lather resonates with a "slap-slap," Kim Sook bursts into tears of laughter saying, "What is this?" In response, Jun Hyun-moo says, "But is this right?" showing a dumbfounded look as if he still does not know the truth of the "hammam." Jeong Ho-young says, "My body was spinning round and round... it felt like I became frozen tuna," prompting more laughter.
Jun Hyun-moo's cries that will ring out in the world's unique and enchanting Turkish sauna culture, the "hammam," will be revealed through the "Donkey Ears" main broadcast.
