Lee Young-ae deliberately causes a car crash and decides to turn herself in to save Kim Young-kwang.
On the 25th, KBS 2TV weekend miniseries Walking On Thin Ice (directed by Song Hyun-wook, written by Jeon Young-shin) episode 10 shows Kang Eun-su (played by Lee Young-ae) and Lee Kyung (played by Kim Young-kwang), thrown into chaos by an unexpected counterattack from Jang Tae-gu (played by Park Yong-woo), devising a new plan.
Earlier, Eun-su was shocked to learn that her daughter Park Su-a (played by Kim Si-a) had worked as a courier for the drugs she sold. Tae-gu tightened his grip on Eun-su once more by using Su-a as bait, and Eun-su ultimately accepted Lee Kyung's suggestion to get rid of Tae-gu. But Tae-gu, who had seen through their entire plan, pointed a gun at Lee Kyung. Eun-su, who had been fleeing alone, turned the wheel and returned to the scene, ramming Tae-gu with her car to protect Lee Kyung. With only episodes 11 and the finale remaining, curiosity grows about what will happen to them after Eun-su's deliberate collision.
Ahead of episode 11, stills released today (24th) capture the tense moment of Eun-su and Lee Kyung trapped in Tae-gu's scheme. Eun-su anxiously checks Lee Kyung's condition after he was shot by Tae-gu, and a bloodied Lee Kyung is stunned by Tae-gu's unexpected counterattack.
Meanwhile, with nowhere left to retreat, Eun-su proposes that Lee Kyung turn himself in. Having endured 10 years to bring down the Kang Hwi-rim (played by Do Sang-woo) family, Lee Kyung falls into deep conflict over Eun-su's final proposal. Questions focus on why Eun-su decided to turn herself in and what fate awaits Tae-gu as he barrels forward with his brakes broken.
Another still captures Su-a and Eun-su on Su-a's last walk to school. Driven to despair by the domino of tragedy that began with her, Eun-su decides to smuggle Su-a and her husband Do-jin abroad. Facing the reality of having to leave school, Su-a, with conflicted feelings, heads to her classroom and witnesses a shocking scene. Eun-su also looks stunned by the unexpected turn of events. The stills deepen curiosity about what new incident has befallen Eun-su and her daughter.
Eun-su and Lee Kyung's final partnership to escape the cycle of tragedy continues to the end. What unexpected variable will confront them as they decide to turn themselves in amid repeated crises? Attention is focused on whether their partnership will be successfully concluded when the episode airs.
