Pop star Britney Spears is being devastated by revelations in her ex-husband Kevin Federline's memoir.
Foreign outlets the Daily Mail and Page Six reported on the 23rd (local time) that a video showing Britney Spears driving recklessly after a night out with friends was released, and that she is emotionally collapsing because of her ex-husband's revealing memoir.
According to reports, Britney Spears is "emotionally out of control" because of the revealing memoir by her ex-husband Kevin Federline.
The video obtained by the Daily Mail shows Spears leaving a restaurant in Thousand Oaks, California, getting into the driver's seat of her black BMW despite several people trying to stop her.
A witness told the outlet, "Spears almost hit a friend as she pulled out of the parking lot."
Spears swerved into the opposite lane while driving home and also entered a bike-only lane. At one point she closely followed another vehicle, and she was seen putting something in her mouth while stopped at a traffic light.
A source said, "Spears couldn't get through her front gate for about 20 minutes. She entered the gate code number and drove up, but the gate didn't open. She repeated this attempt three or four times. Her friend did not get out of the car and left after 20 minutes," adding, "After that she tried for about 10 more minutes and barely succeeded in getting in."
An insider said of the outing, "Federline's memoir has completely unbalanced Spears. She is emotionally collapsing. This book is reopening old wounds," adding, "Having her name back in the news recently has been a very difficult time for her. She is acting explosively. When someone falls into this kind of emotional vortex, it quickly goes in a worse direction."
Kevin Federline, who was married to Britney Spears from 2004 to 2007 and has two sons with her, recently published a memoir titled You Thought You Knew.
In the memoir he claims that Spears "woke the two boys by holding a knife and looking at them," and alleged that "she used cocaine while breastfeeding the baby," sparking controversy. He also warned that Britney Spears's unstable behavior is far more serious than it appears.
Britney Spears criticized Federline, calling it "continuous gaslighting and hurtful allegations."
